President Ramaphosa defends comrade deployment

Topic: President Ramaphosa defends comrade deployment.

Comrade deployment is now on news with some challenging it and also accusing it that it is the main reason why many of public offices are struggling to perform, including Public Enterprises.

It is perfectly permissible for political parties to deploy their loyal cadres into political positions at national, provincial and municipal level.

Any political post from president to local councillor is fair game. It is absolutely impermissible to use the public administration and the state-owned entities as the sites of cadre deployment of party loyalists

The President of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa says court bid to outlaw comrade deployment is premature, lacks substance.

Democratic Alliances took the African National Congress to court, claiming that the African National Congress used its deployment committee to ensure some of its comrades secured top jobs in government.
