The SIU will be investigating as far back as 2014 allegations that some within the National Lotteries Commission had been distributing lottery grants allegedly worth millions of rand, unfairly too and in some instances their friends or close associates.
But I lotto has no idea of the dreams they took from us that one Tuesday when that sequence was played...
They must include in their investigation the lotto draws since moving to the electronic version, specifically the now famous 5, 6,7,8,9&10 draw.
All jackpot winners must be investigated I’m sure somewhere the winners were in contact with the operators.
The. re’s a difference between National Lotteries Commission which distributes the Lotto funds and Ithuba (PTY) which manages and operates lotto. It’s only the former that is being raided by SIU. Not the one of the 5,6,7,8,9+10 scandal.
Was it not being investigated a while ago?there have been many case over the past few years of money going to the lottery fund and being given to dubious "projects" etc and no evidence of it ever being spent on such
