Corruption is bad and it shouldn't be condoned because it affects our economy. It also affects certain individuals who were supposed to benefit from that particular finance. High ranking officials tend to take their chances and steal money which is allocated for another use, they will be thinking that they covered their tracks well.
Public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has called for the Hawks to investigate Eastern Cape political heavyweights in the latest financial outrageous behaviour to rock the province. Mkhwebane has called for ANC provincial chair and premier Oscar Mabuyane, and party treasurer Babalo Madikizela to be investigated after they supposedly gained from money meant for Winnie Mandela’s memorial service in 2018.
Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane is disputing the Public Protectors’ claims that he unlawfully benefited from a Winnie Madikizela-Mandela memorial service. Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane renovated his private residence with portions of the R3.3-million that the province had set aside to commemorate the life of late struggle icon Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
