President Cyril Ramaphosa - UPDATE on his Address to the nation | DETAILED

There has been much discussion around tighter lockdown restrictions for certain parts of the country. If not all parts of the country during the festive period.

All those rumours have ceased to exist.

The only area that will be put under tighter restrictions will be the Nelson Mandela Bay Area.

This with regard to the excessively high rate of infections in recent weeks.

Not forgetting to mention that the Sarah Baartman District in the Eastern Cape is also considered a HOT SPOT.

Also the Garden Route in the Western Cape which is also considered a hot spot.

However, let's make clear that no restrictions have been considered for these two areas as they will be keeping a close eye on the rate of infections and whether they will need to have more Restrictions.

Lockdown restrictions pertaining to Nelson Mandela Bay Area ONLY.

Sales will be allowed Monday to Thursday from 10am to 6pm.

All bars and restaurants will be closed at 9pm.

Curfew hours extended - allowing six hours of shutdown for hot spots. 10pm - 4am.

Indoor gatherings - this has been reduced from 250 - 100. 50% of total venue capacity still applies.

Public behaviours - drinking on Beaches and in public has been banned.

Funeral gatherings- all "After Tears" gatherings have been banned!

Cyril Ramaphosa had also noted that we are at a very detrimental stage of the virus and we are uncertain what the coming weeks will lead to.

It is up to each and every one of us to protect ourselves and those around us.

We need to get our act together and beat this virus!

It's all in our hands!
