Did The ANC Take It Too Far?
The African National Congress campaigners we pictured giving the elderly people who live in shacks their yellow T-Shirts promising them houses and other basic needs such as water and electricity after all these years. Cyril Ramaphosa and Zuma seem to be clashing heads from the outside.
Unfortunately, the African National Congress cannot do everything in 27 years of freedom, as they first have to eradicate poverty that lives in the mind of African children and the belief that scarcity has clouded their minds that they are inferior to the other races. People on Twitter were saying that this is pure plain abuse as they have used most elderly people to get votes.
It is not just the that is using these tactics also the Economic Freedom Fighters as they once used the reverse psychology on the elderly people saying that take the EFFs food parcels, when it is lockdown but when it is time for the voting they pick the ANC that is why they do not trust them to pick them, but Julius expect to buy people using money, there are better ways to make people subscribe to your cause, first is faith, they should believe in you like they did to Mandela and Gandhi, remember they did not have money, they only had ideas and people subscribed just by watching what they were saying.
The ruling party has always been doing shady things to get votes, but we do not know yet if they are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts. This is their Marketing style and you know what they say in marketing you cannot change what is not broken, so they will keep on doing this strategy until the Economic Freedom Fighters win their next elections. Cyril has been quiet lately, he did not hype the elections as such, he wanted the Independent Election Board to postpone the elections but the Supreme court said no.
