ANC is at Risk, people joined it to get powerful positions, says Thabo Mbeki

For some years now, the former president of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Thabo Mbeki has been talking about renewal of the African National Congress and now seems to have lost hope.

Former president Thabo Mbeki says the African National Congress is at risk because it has failed to renew itself as a party and many of its leaders are still only interested in access to powerful positions.

Many African National Congress leaders became millionaires over night post apartheid before they actually rebuilt government. The Eskom , housing crisis is something that was known but ANC government just put matters aside. The only thing that has developed is salaries for minsters and President.

What the former president is saying might be the reason there's too much political killing competing for political positions. Not many Comrades now had an interesting in rebuilding and renew the African National Congress, that is why they continue even stealing while they know the side effect on the movement.
