NPA accused secretary general Ace Magashule after trying to delay his corruption trial (see details)


NPA has called out ANC suspended secretary-general Ace Magashule of trying to postpone his corruption trial.

In courtroom docket papers the NPA, has stated that Magashule turned into trying to delay his criminal trial when he requested the high court to declare that there has been tangible proof in opposition to him.

Magashule has requested the Bloemfontein high court to declare that the state has no case in opposition to him to behavior prosecution, including that his prosecution changed into a "smear campaign". He additionally requested the court to compel the prosecution to reveal the names of witnesses who particularly implicate him.

Magashule is going through charges of fraud and corruption regarding a R255 million tender for an audit of asbestos roofing in the Free State. He is due returned in court in February.

In court papers filed on Tuesday, prosecutor Navilla Somaru stated that the whole thing Magashule had requested for "must be raised during the path of his criminal trial".
