Those who have been following the news know that the hottest topic right now has to do with the lockdown coming to an end. The government has been asked multiple times to end a state of disaster as the Citizens feel like there is definitely no need for it at the current moment. The government has hinted that it is working on ending this state of disaster and lock town but if you are not curious what will happen to the special relief Grant of distress.
It is now being reported that the government isn't it planning on and in the long-term but it will try its level best to keep the Grant going. This means that people will continue ending their R350 each month even after the Lockdown. This has put a lot of South Africans that is because they had believe that since the grant started with the lockdown it would also end with it.
They have also been rumours of the current turning into a basic income Grant. This will mean that South Africans might continue getting this grand on a permanent basis even after the lockdown. The government has not fully confirmed the conversion of the R350 grant into a basic income Grant.
This is some very good news for South Africans that can pay this money every month. They have needed the money since the coronavirus that hurt and it has now become a daily or monthly need for them. The government should just convert this ground into a basic income Grant at this point in time. This will definitely help our millions of South Africans as life after lockdown cannot be predicted.
