There is chaos in the streets of Mangaung in Bloemfontein as residents barricaded the streets with stones and burning tyres ahead of ANC Deputy president David Mabuza's visit to the area. David Mabuza is scheduled to campaign for the ANC and partake in the Vooma Vaccination Weekend Campaign.
Vooma Vaccination Weekend Campaign :
The Vooma Vaccination Weekend Campaign is set up to insure more people get vaccinated, as ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa during his address to the nation said they want to get as many people vaccinated as possible. The government wants to vaccinate about 17-million more people by mid-December 2021.
David Mabuza who is the ANC's deputy president is taking part of vaccination set up by the government, as he is doing this as part of campaigning ahead of the 2021 Local Government Elections.
People of Mangaung, Opinion :
The streets of Mangaung was unfortunately barricaded with stones and burning tyres ahead of his visit to the area, as residents probably did not care about a vaccination roll out. The barricades and burning tyres says a lot about how the residents feel about the ANC.
The ANC has fallen out of favour, and many wants the to see the ANC not rule the country anymore. Julius Malema also wants the see the ANC fall from their throne as he wants his EFF party to rule in goverment.
The people wants a leading party who can offer them job availability and service delivery, not just empty promises for votes.
Local Government Elections :
We are just a month away from the 2021 Local Government Elections and if one place like Mangaung can set up barricades and burn tyres ahead of a visit from the ANC, the ANC is in for more unsatisfied citizens standing up against the ruling party.
