The harsh reality is that foreign nationals are no longer wanted in South Africa because of unemployment and the drug problems among the youth. Foreign nationals are blamed for taking jobs away from the locals and one Nigerian author decided to write an article on a Nigerian media about the situation, they are facing in South Africa currently. The Nigerian author blames nationalist organization like Put South Africa First. He says the movement is fuelling xenophobic sentiments towards foreign nationals by blaming Nigerians, Zimbabweans, and others for committing crimes and selling drugs to their children and human trafficking. He says, some political figures are to be blame for the hate of foreign nationals, people like Goodwill Zwelithini for the comments, he was made about foreign nationals, when he said, they came here to take jobs away from the locals and they commit crime and he says that he was not arrested and persecuted. Fair enough, the author did admit that some foreign nationals do commit crimes like the 5 Nigerians who were charged with human trafficking after 11 women were found to be working for them in a brothel but he argues that they should be arrested and charged like anyone else and get fair trial. He praises the EFF for being vocal against xenophobia and blames the economical decay in Nigeria as the reason why Nigeriana are living their country for South Africa. He says as long, corruption in Nigeria is rife, Nigerian will always want to leave the country
