Jealous ANC Members Cause a Scene at Joburg Council Meeting?

It was not long ago since Mpho Phalatse was confirmed to be the new mayor of the city of Johannesburg as the economic hub of South Africa is about to be driven by a new administration led by the Democratic Alliance (DA), this obviously means that the time for the African National Congress (ANC) to lead this city is over and they are now going to be seating on the opposition benches instead of being on the governing front, it's still a wonderful how will things be like for the City under the leadership of Mpho Phalatse.

Thursday was a set date for the newly elected mayor to make her acceptance speech at the Joburg Council Meeting as the members of the African National Congress decided to disrupt the process as the accused Mpho Phalatse for being pro Israel. Even though Phalatse made some remarks about Israel in the year 2018 when she said the city of Johannesburg was the friend of Israel, these remarks caused a stir during that time and this also led to Phalatse to be suspended and later had to repent for her utterances about Israel.

Now for the remarks which were made in 2018 were resurfaced by the members of the ANC as they demanded Mayor Mpho Phalatse to apologise for what she said at that time, they went as far as to carrying posters which were written "Away with mayor pro-apartheid" and then they declared their support for the people of Palestine as they changed "Free Palestine." The members of the ANC meant business and they were intentional with their support for Palestine as some of them even wore Palestinian keffiyeh.

Mayor Phalatse was rescued by the council speaker Vasco da Gama after he threatened to kick out the disruptive members of the ANC. What could have led to the ANC to decide on being disruptive on this day? Could this be because they are jealous and then they deliberately planed to cause a scene at Joburg Council Meeting? Clearly the members of the ANC did plan this and the acceptance speech day of the new mayor was a perfect day for them to make their presence felt.
