China has completed the construction of Zimbabwe's new $160 million Parliament building as a gift to Zimbabwe, this is definitely something that is great for Zimbabwe but many people feel like this is simply something that has underlying strings attached because the Chinese invest and they don't necessarily give out gifts randomly.
Zimbabwe has a lot of potential for progress and we hope that they will seize this opportunity so that they can be able to be worthy neighbors, because right now many neighboring countries are under the impression that they are simply throwing all their problems in the neighboring countries.
China fully paid for the construction and it is a huge gesture to many people so of course it is encouraged in our society, now we want more stuff like this to happen so that more African countries can work together.
The parliament includes six floors and will house both the lower and upper houses of Parliament, surely this is a state of the art structure with the latest technology so it is something that should be followed because it shows the future.
Chinese flags and Zimbabwean flags are on it symbolizing unity that was always growing, now it has turned into something greater and we hope that they will not exploit the country.
