Leader of the African Content Movement, Hlaudi Motsoeneng has finally given his opinion regarding the date on which the upcoming elections should be held. Hlaudi was speaking in Eastern Cape, Qwaqwa whereby his political party was nominating candidates for the upcoming ward elections.
Motsoeneng told his supporters and the SABC news that he does not believe the upcoming election should be held in October because he does not believe they would be free and fair if they were to be held during the current lockdown restrictions. Hlaudi also made it clear that his party has not yet submitted the ACM candidates to the IEC because he believes the elections should not be held in October. "Should they be held in October, we will challenge the results." Said Hlaudi during his speech.
During his address, Hlaudi also urged the people of Qwaqwa to vote for ACM as he believes it is the best political party for the job If providing them with fast & effective delivery of services. He promised the people of Qwaqwa clean drinkable water and proper electricity. All of that within six months. According to the people interviewed by the SABC news, it appears Hlaudi is in a perfect position for victory in ward 19 because the people trust him simply because that's where he was born and bred.
In the fight to have the elections next year in February, ACM is supported by the likes of ANC while their opposition is the EFF. As of now, it appears the EFF is in the lead because the ANC might not even compete in the election in 30 of their regions while ACM is yet to submit electoraldidates. The eff wants the elections to be held in October and the political party is currently gearing up to make sure that it shows its highest potential. "The EFF is gearing towards total electoral victory in Local Government Elections!" said Julius Malema during his address speech in Limpopo Vembe yesterday. This year the EFF is coming back with the burning desire to with 100% of the Erkuruleni as announced by their leader Julius Malema during the EFFPresser event.
