ANC cuts ties with a member convicted of rape

Cape Town - The ANC has cut binds with a civic chairman in the Western Cape who was sentenced for assaulting a 15-year-old young lady saying it would cause a reputational hazard to the party.

The party was in alliance with the Independent Civic Organization of South Africa (Icosa) in Kannaland where it upheld Jeffrey Donson to be city hall leader. 


Yet, NGOs and other sexual orientation bunches have denounced the appointment of Donson as civic chairman in the region. 

On Saturday ANC representative in the Western Cape Sifiso Mtsweni said the break commonplace board (IPC) had a drawn-out unique gathering on Friday.

The ANC said it noted with grave concern the issue of the Kannaland region.
