Claims of corruption against Cyril Ramaphosa are unfounded, says Madonsela. Her words, however, are claimed to be deceptive because citizens aren't arguing that Ramaphosa is crooked, but that millions of dollars were stolen from his Phala Phala farm and he didn't disclose it.
On top of that, there are allegations that Ramaphosa tormented a domestic servant while trying to find the robbers in Namibia using state-owned resources. Arthur Fraser alleged money laundering, torture, and kidnapping in his complaint. There is no evidence that Cyril Ramaphosa has been accused of corruption by him.
Criticism of Thuli Madonsela and others like her, however, suggests that they are attempting to divert attention away from the true charges against President Cyril R. Ramaphosa.
"He has not been accused of corruption. For profit, corruption is a misuse of power entrusted to someone else "Madonsela made the statement.
Despite the fact that Carl Niehaus came out swinging against Thuli Madonsela's comments, he called her "shameless" and demanded that she cease demeaning the intelligence of others.
"This makes me sick. We need Thuli Madonsela to quit mocking our intelligence, which he does with brazen abandon. if the accused was South African President Jacob Zuma, she would have said exactly the opposite. To maintain a semblance of fairness and justice, hypocrisy and selective targeting must be avoided, "Carl Niehaus claimed that.
Some believe that Cyril Ramaphosa abused his position in order to resolve his personal problems, and that constitutes corruption.
"In the event that Thuli Madonsela is correct, President Ramaphosa did not take public monies, but he abused his power by purposefully breaking the law and then covering it up. I am really upset by Madonsela. That's a form of tampering."
ANC colleague Carl Niehaus has been one of the most vocal critics of President Cyril Ramaphosa since the Phala Phala controversy was exposed.
