The law is very complicated in its own way and it would take a person many years to understand it all, due to the fact that it has been changing and new things have been added to it for a very long time. Mzasni have been left fuming after a couple of human trafficking suspects were granted bail right after they had confessed to the crimes that were charged for.
People were confused as to what is the purpose of bail if a criminal can go free and settle their affairs, even if they have commited the hainus crimes and confessed about it. The reports says that The Vanderbijlpark Magistrates’ Court granted three Bangladeshi nationals from Bophelong, Mohammed Alamin (26), Fuzlol Alom (36) & Mohammed Solayman Ahmed (34), R10 000 bail. Mohammed Rahman (27) abandoned his bail application.
The four confessed to committing the offences. The two dockets were subsequently joined together at Vanderbijlpark. The thing that made people angry was the fact that these foreign nationals have commited to crime of human trafficking which is a first degree offense that, is frowned apon by the eyes of the law. Heres what other people had to say this matter.
