The government of Zimbabwe is reported to have bowed down to the request that was made regarding the 2021 June Examinations to be cancelled.
The government of Zimbabwe is reported to have announced the decision to suspend the Ordinary and Advanced level examinations for the 2021 academic period.
This as it is highlighted that the Covid-19 had negative effects on the cycle of the examinations in Zimbabwe.
It is highlighted that the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Mrs Monica Mutsvangwa reportedly highlighted that the government had made consideration and decided to suspend the 2021 June Examinations as presented by the Minister of Primary and Secondary education Mr Cain Mathema.
It is reported that as a result of the lockdown regulations , the Grade 7 examinations, Ordinary and Advanced level examinations had their timing disturbed to an extent that they had to be concluded in early January 2021.
This as a result led to the alleged negative impact on the cycle of examinations .It is reported that the disruption has led to the delay in the setting up of the examinations for June , thereby causing the government to suspend the examinations.
