"Operation Dudula" is Back. Look At What Soweto Residents Are Doing To Undocumented Foreigners

42 illegal migrants have been arrested in Soweto after failing to produce legal documents that permits them to be in South Africa. Residents in Soweto are working with cops to remove illegal migrants in the townships of Soweto. This is part of a clean-up campaign called "Operation Dudula". This is exactly what South Africans wanted all along. Most of them are glad that the government is finally doing something about the issue of undocumented foreigners

South Africans don't hate foreign nationals, they are just tired of being terrorized by them in their own country. Soweto residents said "enough is enough" . As part of "Operation Dudula" they are they are removing illegal migrants from Soweto.

"Have you ever spent a week without internet just because Zimbabweans stole a telecommunications batteries? Or spend a month without electricity just because Zimbabweans stole the copper cables?", asked Malooks (social media user).

Zimbabweans are not the only people stealing copper cables. Even South African citizens do steal cables and sell them. Our brothers and sisters too are not innocent either. Many of them are behind bars serving years for stealing copper cables, hijacking cars and killing people who are vulnerable.

Few South Africans say this "Operation Dudula" will end in tears but more citizens think it is a good movement. They believe crime will decline not only in Soweto but across South Africa if all illegal migrators are deported back to their native countries.

"Please come to Ebony Park, Kaalfontein, Rabie Ridge and Ivory Park. This is where foreigners hibernate and do as they please, with thousands of foreigners' spaza shops. Please hit that area very hard. Surely, ammunition will also be retrieved", a social media users says.

It is true that some of undocumented migrants own illicit guns. If the police do not remove them in the townships many people will lose their lives. They are dangerous people.

Human Rights Foundation slams "Operation Dudula". Do you think "Operation Dudula" is a good movement that will restore peace in South Africa or this movement will only make things worse?
