OPINION| The removal of Presidential limits will allow Mnangagwa to rule until he is either dead

Zimbabwe’s ruling party ZANUPF said it will remove the Presidential term limits, which were imposed by the country’s 2013 constitution, which the current president abhors, he has failed to align the country’s laws to the 2013 constitution and has already amended it, with 27 amendments planned. The removal of the term limits will allow Mnangagwa to rule until he is either dead or is removed like what happened to his former boss, Robert Mugabe, If the amendment goes through, it will make Constantino Chiwenga’s chances of ever becoming president very slim, and it shows a party ready to do anything to stay in power as they are now scared of Chamisa

However to do this, he will need support from his Mwonzora puppets because ZANUPF doesn’t have a two thirds majority, Mwonzora has given this support before when his MPs voted for the constitutional amendment that led to the illegal reappointment of Luke Malaba
