As the country is currently experiencing high volumes of the covid 19 infections Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga is often in the spotlight as she holds one of the key positions in government.
Angie Motshekga is currently one of the longest serving ministers in South Africa. She was appointed to her current position on May 2009.
During her first term into office her political career was rocked by controversies. During the period from December 2011 to June 2012 her department failed to deliver school textbooks to learners in the Limpopo. She faced calls to resign but did not do so.
Beside her political journey being rocked by controversies in the beginning, it can be said she is one of the most deserving ministers in government. Motshekga has an educational background in education after having previously worked as a teacher and also a lecturer at the University of Witwatersrand.
Outside of her political career Angie Motshekga is a wife and mostly a mother. She is married to Mathole Motshekga who is a politician, lawyer and also a Member of Parliament (MP). The pair are parents to a beautiful young woman by the name of Makgatho Mmathari Motshekga.
According to information gathered we were able to establish that Makgatho tied the knot in a lavish over the top white wedding in 2012. The ceremony was even featured on popular television show Top Billing. With little traces of Makgatho even on the internet it is not known what she really does for a living.
We can only assume she is successful individual as she hails from a well to do family.
