The founder of South Africans First political party Mario Khumalo has come out attacked the president but this time he was aiming at president Cyril Ramaphosa’s wife and went on to ask whether Miss South Africa was still there. He went on his twitter page and asked whether South Africa has a first lady or a Miss South and made it a point to note that he has never heard anything from them especially on issues affecting women an children in South Africa. Mario Khumalo is not happy that the first lady and miss South Africa are not at the fore front of these issues and that they are failing to represent other women who do not have the means to do so like they do.
The first lady and miss South Africa are usually the great advocates of women’s rights, he noted how in some countries first ladies usually shape the move for women rights and how they are at the fore front of it all. He also went out on Miss South Africa saying she is not using her title very well as she should be exploring every avenue available to her every resource available to her as Miss South Africa to address the social injustices affecting women.
His question did however raise different views from twitter with one saying he should not ask such questions because their silence says a lot about the people we have become. The tweep went on to say that they maybe silent because they fear to be criticised for what they say or to be publicly lynched. Some always see it better to keep quite so as to keep their peace and not invite hurt into their lives. However for the first lady she needs to show that she is present as the office of the first lady is an important one especially for women.
Some say that the first lady is working behind the scenes with some noting that she has done more than all the first ladies before her the only that she does not like to show off her works like her predecessors and she s not really a media person. One noted that she does not do the work she does for attention that is why she never on the news.
