Crime Justice

Everyone Was Stunned By What Ramaphosa Had Just Said.

After two separate but linked bar attacks occurred the previous week, President Cyril Ramaphosa called on law enforcement to make a concerted effort to investigate and apprehend those responsible for the attacks on Sunday.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed his sympathies to the families of both the 15 people killed early on Sunday morning in a Soweto pub and the 4 people killed on Saturday night in a Pietermaritzburg bar.

If someone was hurt, he prayed they would get well soon. There is no part in the world where the threat posed by violent criminals can be ignored by the United States.

Early on Sunday morning, local area security MEC Faith Mazibuko arrived at the tavern to find the dead of scores of Mdlalose supporters.

To reduce violent crime, halt the illegal circulation of firearms, and boost the social and economic circumstances in online communities, he advocated for a joint effort on the part of the state, individuals, and civil society institutions.

If South Africa is to recover from the pain of mass murders like those in Soweto, Pietermaritzburg, and before Khayelitsha, its people will need to work together to establish communities and transform the country into one where criminals have nowhere to hide.
