"Rest In Peace Nkosazana" - Another Top Polician DIES

"What is killing young people everywhere?", someone posed this question on twitter this afternoon following yet another death of a hugely-talented politician.

The question was legitimately posed, because indeed there is a worrying trend of young politicians who are dying due to a variety of many reasons. Just this morning, United Democratic Movement (UDM) leader, Bantu Holomisa took to twitter to announce the sad passing away of Athikemna Mbhedlashe, a high-profile leader within the party's ranks.

Although he didn't have many words, Holomisa waxed lyrical about the significant contribution Athikemna made as a UDM's student movement leader at various universities like Fort Hare and the University of Transkei.

"Rest In Peace Nkosazana. She was the champion of UDESM in EC. Your role in building UDM is well documented," Holomisa tweeted on his official account.

Details sorrounding the circumstances leading to her death were not communicated, and the OnlineNewzBible team tried with futile outcome to find her personal information and some of the milestones she achieved during her short life, we did so because we feel it is quite important for people's journey to be documented and celebrated for playing their role no matter the area they come from.

Of course her death would have come as a massive blow to the party, in particular with just under 10 days to go until the eagerly-awaited local government elections.

Athikemna was mainly based in the Eastern Cape which is the stronghold of the UDM as it where its leader Holomisa hails from, but they will surely rope in another young person to take over the baton and help the party to increase its numbers in councils throughout the Eastern Cape province.

OnlineNewzBible team sends its most sincere condolences to the Mbhedlashe family for their monumental loss, May their Daughter's Soul Repose Peacefully.
