Motsoaledi Says Plans are underway to Completely Overhaul the Immigration System of South Africa.

The Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi has been making frantic effort to restructure the system used in Home Affairs Commission as well as restore decency and respect for the rule of law among Officials of the department.

For years now, the department has seen an increase in corrupt practices among its members and this has reduced the integrity of the commission within and outside the country.

The Minister said that a resolution has been reached to completely overhaul the immigration system in South Africa.

He confirmed that works are currently underway to achieve this initiative and the department will unveil such plans very soon.

This was contained in a statement issued by Home Affairs via its official Twitter handle and it reads:

"Minister Motsoaledi: We have decided on a complete overhaul of the immigration system of the country. Work in this regard is well underway and we will soon unveil it".
