A report has been issued of a former minister who has been pointed as being influential in the farm scandal. Former minister, Petronella Kagonye is alleged to be playing a part in the invasion of the Bromley farm .
She is alleged to be blocking a farmer from making use of the farm and helping influence some invaders to resist the eviction from taking place.
It is highlighted that Samson Chauruka is the owner of the who has reportedly been failing to occupy it for more than ten years.The farm is reported to be a subdivision of the Whiteside farm .
The farm which seems to be controversial is reportedly 40 ha .The owner of thr farm , Samson reportedly wrote a letter in 2019 to the late minister of lands and agriculture.
In that letter to the minister , the legal owner was Samson was issuing a complaint to the minister in which he implicated the former Minister Petronella Kagonye.
Samson was accusing the former Minister of inciting the former farm workers to resist being evicted. The letter reportedly highlighted that the former Minister was promising the former farm workers residential stands if they would resist eviction.
The letter addressed the late Minister of Lands and Agriculture Perrence Shiri went on and alleged that the former Minister used her influence as a political figure to drive the former farm workers to resist getting evicted.She was accused of misrepresenting the rulling ZANU PF as she was using it to her own gain.
The former minister was accused of inciting violence against the land owners , hence the abuse of the ZANU PF name to get what she wanted.
Samson reportedly indicated that there had been three attempts to occupy his land but he was assisted by his mitalia.He reportedly highlighted that the resistence to occupy his land was done through means of violence.
He went on and reported the nine of the people who had been sent by the former Minister Petronella Kagonye were arrested and sentenced to five years in jail.
The crimes committed included property vandalism, assault of police and Samson's employees.Petronella Kagonye is a former Minister of labour.
Kagonye who lost her ZANU PF seat to the MDC Alliance is reported to have been remanded out of custody where she is facing six counts of fraud which have to do with selling of some residential stands and the abuse of funds.
The late Minister Perrence Shiri is reported to have acknowledged Samson Chauruka as the rightful owner of the farm.
The letter from the late Minister identified Samson as the legal owner and and called on the illegal settlers to be relocated in order to give the owner his opportunity to utilise his name.
The owner of the farm is yet to take full ownership of his land and reportedly cites the it has since been converted into a crime spot.He reportedly alleges that drugs are now being sold there and that smuggling of goods is taking place.
