SASSA has now confirmed that there will be a closing date for the R350 relief grant appeal.

All those that had their applications being declined from the period of November 2020 to January 2021 they have until 28 February to lodge an appeal against the decline.Many people have been declined even though they were not receiving any kind of income and many depend on this grant to put dood on the table.
The level of unemployment has increased in the country as many people have lost their jobs.
Since the extension of the grant by the president during the state of the nation address, SASSA has received about 65, 000 new applications. 42,321 applicants have sinced cancelled their applications as their situation has changed the last time they made an applications.
Minister of social development Lindiwe Zulu has said that the gorvenment has since payed oht R17 billion on R350 grants.
