Interior images of Zimbabwe's China donated Parliament which caused mixed reactions on Twitter

Zimbabwe has a brand new parliament building, which according to reports is a donation from the People's Republic of China.

The gift, as it is widely called, has been constructed at the tune of $160 million. The building has been completed with the Zimbabwean and the Chinese flag flying high up in the brand new structure.

The completion of this project has catapulted Zimbabwe parliament into one of the best in the continent in many ways. But the grand building obviously does not reflect what will be discussed inside as the political situation in the country keeps sliding down.

The building, as per reports, consists if six floors and will house both the Upper and Lower houses of parliament. China paid the construction costs in full, a move seen as a gesture of goodwill by many.

A tweeter user posted images of the state of the art building showing the interior as well as the exterior of the building. Here is the tweet by @#AfricaFactZone. Without wasting any of our time lets see how it went down at the comment section where people shared their different views on the matter. Some thinks China did a good thing and that they don't have ulterior motives behind the donations while many criticised the gesture. For a few people on twitter who saw the images, the fact that there are three flags of Chinese origin against one of Zimbabwe is a worrying factor. Let's just hope those flags are there for the opening ceremony nothing more.

What do you think of the donation, is it a sign of goodwill or the Chinese government is up to something? Leave a comment below.
