During the weeks , the Minister of Basic Education Mrs Angie Motshekga made a presentation of the 2020 Matric Examination results.She expressed joy in what was achieved by the 2020 class .
She highlighted that the results achieved considering the time lost by was amazing. The Minister highlighted that if it had not been for the Covid-19, the learners would have got more than what they got.
The Education MEC for Gauteng , Mr Panyaza Lesufi is reported to have been full of happy and full of praises for the 2020 Matriculants. He was grateful for the the good results that were achieved by the province.
Its reported tha Gauteng Province had the highest performing districts in terms of the Matric results.Gauteng province is reported to have made an achievement of the second highest passes in Science and Mathematics.
The Gauteng is also reported to have recorded the one of the highest university entry passes in the country. Gauteng Province came second to Free State in terms of passes at provincial level. Free State had 85.1 percent pass rate whilst Gauteng had 83.7 percent pass rate.
