It pays to be President: The TEN highest paid presidents in Africa & their net worth.

Did you know that African leaders are among the wealthiest and highest salary earners in the world?

Well, in fairness nothing is wrong with neither being the wealthiest nor the highest earner as long as the ‘books balance’. By that I mean, one has a good long standing business generating income for said wealth.

The continent as a whole is vastly regarded as the least-developed, with millions living well below the poverty line. From poor health to illiteracy and malnutrition, African leaders have a lot of things to fix if they must pocket massive salaries.

Sadly, most of the leaders are seemingly more interested in becoming wealthy through dubious means and this has seen them legitimatize earning enormous pay for services they mostly don’t render or don’t even know how to.

But, that is a story for another day, for now let’s look at how much African presidents earn, as well as their personal net worth.

The figures below represent only their basic salary and do not include other startling amounts they pocket in the name of allowance.
