Love it or hate it, the bond between Economic Freedom Fighters leader, Julius Malema and the late stalwart, Winnie Madikizela Mandela is unbreakable. Malema adored Mama Winnie and even though she's gone, the bond is unbreakable. Even Mama Winnie's daughter, Zenani Mandela-Dlamini calls him her younger brother. Zenani Mandela-Dlamini came all the way from Korea to attend the EFF Manifesto and the unveiling of the EFF Headquarters Winnie Mandela House. Zenani Mandela-Dlamini has graced the event, which was also aimed at renaming of the EFF's new building to Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. She flew all the way from Korea to honour this important day and Malema couldn't be happier.
Mandela-Dlamini helped Malema with cutting the ribbon at the new EFF Headquarters, the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela House. Taking to the stage, Zenani Mandela-Dlamini thanked the EFF for honouring her mother Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, and keeping her name alive. Zenani Mandela-Dlamini says the actions of the EFF speak directly to what Mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela had time and respect for the EFF.
Malema says he chose this day, which is Winnie's birthday, so the EFF could celebrate and honour her massive legacy because those who claimed to be part of her, have never honoured her.
However, some people accused Malema of milking Winnie Mandela's name to the bone, "he went to Ghandi Square on her birthday to continue the milking. We all know she was ANC and there's no way she was gone vote anyone else", a Twitter user said. Let's not forget that Malema was the president of the ANCYL which was mentored by Mama Madikizela-Mandela and the two go a long way. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Malema honoring Mama Winnie!
Meanwhile, Malema has promised voters free electricity as part of his Manifesto launch. He says the EFF will doecw Eskom to provide free electricity for all or take the power utility to the Constitutional Court if it refuses. What kind of promise is that? Malema is trying by all means to discredit President Cyril Ramaphosa who is currently targeted by Soweto residents who are demanding free electricity. How convenient of Malema to promise free electricity at a time like this!
