"We Will Continue To Consult Zuma" ANC KZN Chairperson Duma

The provincial chair of the African National Congress in KwaZulu-Natal, Siboniso Duma, has stated once again that the province will continue to back and consult with the party's former president, Jacob Zuma.

Some members of President Cyril Ramaphosa's ANC group were elated by Duma's comments that the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal was considering endorsing Ramaphosa for a second term.

But he shot down those assertions, saying the statements were divisive and that those who want to see the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal split up in before of the conference were pushing that narrative.

In addition, Duma mentions that history was made in KwaZulu Natal today with the election of Nomusa Ncube-Dube as the province's first female Premier. Previously, Sihle Zikalala had resigned.

Zikalala was still present after his resignation, and witnesses say he was seen dancing and clapping as he showed his support for Nomusa Ncube-victory. Dube's It has been suggested that Zikalala was paralyzed at the Kwa-Zulu Natal provincial conference because he was promised something by the slate of the Talibans.

The Zuma factor, it is said, led to Sihle Zikalala's ouster from the RET, as his comrades believed he had neglected the former president and had forbidden ANC supporters from attending his court cases while wearing party regalia.

On the other hand, Siboniso Duma restated the Taliban's position, saying that they will continue to consult with former president Jacob Zuma because he is a pillar of the movement.

In his words, "Comrade President Zuma is the pillar of the movement, we will continue to consult comrade President Zuma," Duma affirmed Zuma's central role in the revolution.

Critics claimed that Sihle Zikalala's inability to clearly articulate his stance on the Zuma issue contributed to his demise at the conference, as the newly elected Kwa-Zulu Natal provincial executive committee had taken a strong stance on the matter.

In response to a question about whether or not the new ANC Kwa-Zulu Natal leadership will be an improvement over Zikalala, Siboniso Duma said that the organization would determine who the best candidates were to head each municipality.
