Is president Ramaphosa going to regret his decision on Zulu nation kingship support?

The crowning of a new Zulu monarch has caused strife throughout the kingdom, leading to a struggle for control of the throne.

King Misuzulu's opponents have defied the president of the Republic of South Africa and the African National Congress by installing Prince Simakade as the heir apparent to the Zulu throne. Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa is among those who have defied them.

Prince Simakade was even seen on tape making disparaging comments about Cyril Ramaphosa, the incumbent President of the Republic of South Africa.

The question at hand is whether or not the President will come to regret the choice he made to back King Musizulu's bid for the throne if, for some reason, Prince Simakade is ultimately crowned King of the Zulu country.

It has been said that Prince Misuzulu has the support of Mangosuthu Buthelezi, the prime minister of the Zulu country, as well as Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa, the president of the Republic of South Africa and the African National Congress.

Prince Simakade enjoys the support of his family as well as other chiefs. It is vitally important for people to be aware of this. In the Zulu nation, the selection of the monarch has traditionally been made by the family, but these days the family is more fractured than ever.
