Already, there are rumours circulating that a cabinet reshuffle will is likely to take place most especially with the new premier.
What is also expected is that all the MEC's who were on the side of Zikalala and are also considered to be on Ramaphosa's faction will be reshuffled.
MEC's who are facing the axe, according to the rumours are, the MEC of sports, Hlengiwe Mavimbela, MEC of Education, Kwazi Mshengu, MEC of Economic Development and Tourism,Ravi Pillay.
It is rumoured that Pillay will be replaced by the ANC's KZN chairperson, Sboniso Duma.
Another MEC that has been rumoured that he will be shown the door is the MEC of Human Settlements, Jomo Sibiya.
The changes that are expected to occur are; the MEC of health, Nomagugu Simelane Zulu who will be shifted to the other department and be replaced by Dr Ntuthuko Mahlaba who is the provincial treasurer.
The MEC of Agriculture, Bongiwe Sthole Moloi is expected to be placed in another department.
These rumours have not been confirmed though, they are circulating on social media.
