Transport minister Fikile Mbalula cooled down allegations that he was given matching orders out of cabinet meeting due to lack of sound preperation.
The alleged report came from Sunday lndependent, claiming Mbalula was informed to leave an economic sectors, investment, empowerment and infrastructure development meeting last week by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
In his defence, Fikile Mbalula dismissal the unfunded allegations and said that cabinet is not run like a "spaza shop".
He further said that in cabinet such a thing cannot happen and laments that he wouldn't address the issue publicly. "You're free to lie with your source because you know we're constrained by the law, because we can't talk cabinet issues in public, we're conatrained."
While on the same matter, minister in the presidency Mondli Gungubele poured cold water on the allegations earlier by saying the point of the unrealistic report was to cause public pandemonium.
Gungubele said that the cabinet business remains private and confidential hence the unfounded allegations serves no purpose.
