JOHANNESBURG - Secretary General Ace Magashule of the African National Congress [ANC] meets with Jacob Zuma (former president), the ANC branch in Mpumalanga province confirmed that they have submitted the names of members that are set to step aside.

On Thursday Ace Magashule gave 5pm deadline to all provincial secretaries to submit the names of members who must step aside who are facing corruption and other serious crimes.

Meanwhile, Magashule asked secretaries to inform those who must step aside within the given period of 30 days or face legal suspension.

Lindiwe Ntshalintshali Provincial Secretary said that the names that Mpumalanga have submitted includes those who were arrested.

Reports says that in 2020, Mpumalanga requested a Provincial Executive [PEC] member, a former MEC who was allegedly accused of sexual assaulting his daughters to step aside.

Ntshalintshali also raised interest over some cases that were opened suddenly against some members just so they could be included in the list too.

“We will put an eye on our comrades, and serious cases will be opened like Minister Pravin Gordhan and Gwende Mantashe.”
