We Are Not Going Anywhere, Says Zimbabweans After Minister Announced Permits Will Not Be Renewed

Source https://twitter.com/Ruraltarain/status/1463818356914630656?s=19

Minister of foreign Affairs announced that Zim permits shall not be renewed and that he is giving Zimbabweans a grace period of 12 months to pack up their bags and go back to their country Zimbabwe.

While South Africans are rejoicing at the decesion that was made .Zimbabweans have made it clear that they are not going back to their country. They would rather die in SA .This are refusing to go back to their country.

This is not suprising coming from Zimbabweans. These people have spent years building a life here in SA and they are not going to give up and go back to dysfunctional Zimbabwe just like that .

The SA Government shouldn't worry itself about the Zimbabweans with permits .The ones they should be worried about are those who dont have documents. There are about 350 000 Zimbabweans with permits but there are over 2 million living here illegally. Those are the people the Government should be concerned with.

Deporting documented Zimbabweans will only force them to come back as illegal foreigners .Also the 12 month grace period will allow them to get married to SA women and men and obtain spousal visa .

This decesion by the Government will only bring more trouble just watch out .Also it will cause a diplomatic feud between Zimbabwe and South Africa and also other countries. What will happen when other countries start banning SA citizens from working in their countries .
