The leader of the ActionSA, Herman Mashaba has recently taken it to his Twitter account to wish his beautiful wife, Connie Mashaba a happy birthday. While other South Africans joined in to wish Connie Mashaba a beloved 60th birthday, others saw it fit to seize this opportunity and jump the gun by referring to Mrs. Mashaba as the “first lady or the future first lady of South Africa.”
First of all, for Connie Mashaba to be regarded as the first lady, Herman Mashaba would have to be president of South Africa through his party, ActionSA. Now, let’s look at the chances of Mashaba being the president.
ActionSA was founded in September 2020 yet It is already in the same conversations with big political parties such as the ANC, DA, and EFF. According to the online poll that was organized by Times Live with over 8000 votes, ActionSA emerged as the second most voted party with over 30% of votes, the number one spot was accumulated by the DA with ANC and EFF acquiring the third and fourth spots respectively.
It was even announced that ActionSA is the biggest political party right now in the city of Johannesburg and that is the biggest municipality in South Africa. If ActionSA manages to win the city of Johannesburg, it will gain the popularity that it needs to potentially overcome the ANC on the national level until Herman Mashaba becomes the president.
Almost every social media platform is full of people who believe in the promises of the ActionSA, provide it comes out victorious in the upcoming local elections, ActionSA will most likely come on top in the coming national elections. Besides, the people calling Connie Mashaba the future first lady of South Africa are the voters themselves and that alone it’s enough to prove that Connie Mashaba might become the first lady of South Africa in the future.
