Cracks in the DA(Ziyakhala): another top black leader has just resigned and is joining another party

Mmusi Maimane resigned from the DA as its leader. We still don't really know why until this day but we believe he left in good terms with the DA. But now another Black leader has not only descended the ladder but has left the DA for another party.

Political veteran Patricia Kopane has resigned from the Democratic Alliance after nearly 20 years with the party. She was an MP for free state but she has abandoned all of that for ActionSA.

What is surprising though is that kopane is actually the second leader within the party in the last 2 months alone to make this move. Could it be that the DA has cracks? Could it be that there's internal disagreements within the party? We don't know for sure and cannot conclude because it's only black leaders that are currently leaving and not whites, but this still begs the question. " Why are are they leaving?"

According to Patricia, The DA isn't what it used to be atleast that's what she said.

“I do not feel like I belong here, but wish nothing but the best to many good people who remain in the party.”

Apparently kopane will begin talks with leader of ActionSA, who also left the DA 3 years ago if we all remember correctly.

" I will approach ActionSA within the coming days to become a member of this exciting new party. In doing so, I will begin talks with Herman Mashaba to assess what role I can play for the party.”

The DA is losing leaders and this is a cue to pay attention to.

Should we expect more resignations? We don't know, only time will tell.

What do you think of this? Is the DA falling apart?
