Former South African President Thabo Mbeki received a visit from KwaZulu-Natal branch leaders of the African National Congress. Their political maturity and leadership are on display in this selfless act, which shows that their side is in command of the situation.
It came as a shock to many people because these individuals had been strong associates of Jacob Zuma, the previous president, who was not a favorite of Thabo Mbeki, the previous president. Nonetheless, many people were taken aback by this.
This visit has been scheduled and will become routine in the future. An ANC meeting was scheduled for KZN, and former South African president Thabo Mbeki was spotted on his way to the Thabo Mbeki Foundation headquarters. Originally, the gathering was supposed to take place earlier in the day.
The newly elected leadership of the African National Congress in KwaZulu-Natal province has declared that they will be consulting the party's veterans as they work to revitalize and unite the organization.
To others, Majy's decision to visit Thabo Mbeki before former ANC leader and current South African President Jacob Zuma sends a message that they value internal harmony at the expense of Zuma's influence.
