Are we going back to level 5? See Ramaphosa's answer.

The number of Covid-19 cases keep on rising daily. Just yesterday the country had over 150 000 cases and this increase has left many people anxious and worried. One of the questions that people want to know if the country will be going back to lockdown level 5 and the President has given answers.

Covid-19 has hit the country and people's livelihoods through loss of jobs and some have lost their lives due to the virus. The government has to find a balance between saving the economy, jobs and people's lives however, President Ràmaphosa has stated that the Cabinet is not considering going back to lockdown level 5.

There has been calls for the President to consider lockdown level 5. However the Cabinet is not considering that however might be considered if cases grow even further than expected.

The President was also asked when lockdown would end and he answered that we are expected to be in lockdown until the end of the year at least.

The country had recorded over 168 000 cases as of 3 July and more cases are still expected. Gauteng is now the hotspot of the country and stricter lockdown measures are to be implemented however this still doesn't mean that the country will be going back to level 5.
