Economic Freedom Fighters Leader, Julius Malema on his 40th birthday said "standing next to me here is a potential EFF member", referring to Minister Fikile Mbalula. It looks like Malema was right about Mbalula after what he did. Mbalula took to Twitter to announce President Cyril Ramaphosa's arrival at Ward 26 in Turfloop. At the end of his announcement, Mbalula used #VoteEFF.
Deputy President of EFF, Floyd Shivambu, responded by saying that "Fighter Mbalula cannot hide his true intentions now". According to Shivambu, Mbalula did not make a mistake by using the hashtag. "It is a clarion call that all people of South Africa must #VoteEFF! #LandAndJobsManje! Namhlanje!" Shivambu said.
According to public opinion, Mbalula can no longer hide the fact that he has a crush on the opposition party. "It's that moment when you accidentally confess about your crush while you're talking to your girlfriend, " a Twitter user chuckled.
What an own goal by Mbalula! Is he obsessed by the EFF to that point? Many are suggesting that maybe he is constantly thinking of joining his former best friend, Julius Malema, in the opposition party. It is no secret that Fikile Mbalula and Julius Malema are friends despite their political differences. "Julius is my friend. We lived together for a long time and we transcended comradeship to become friends," Mbalula once said.
