Cyril Ramaphosa thinks we are fools, says Carl Niehaus.

Carl Niehaus is the former spokesman for the South African ruling party, the African National Congress, and the former spokesman for Nelson Mandela. He was a political prisoner after being convicted of treason against South Africa's former apartheid government.

Carl Niehaus has recently made an unflattering statement regarding the South African president, Cyril Ramaphosa when President Cyril Ramaphosa was addressing the nation about the R22 million flag monument. President Cyril Ramaphosa says he told the Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture to cancel the much talked about R22 million flag project.

Carl Niehaus slammed Cyril Ramaphosa with a statement that reads as follows: "This one thinks we are all fools." The Cabinet approved the pathetic 100m x 22k flag. A whole Cabinet (chaired by Cyril Ramaphosa) did not see anything wrong. Now that our nation is enraged, he simply wants to wriggle himself out of it. We knew from the beginning that Cyril Ramaphosa also supported Nathi Mthethwa's idea to come up with this ridiculous flag.

Below are some of the comments that were made by South African citizens.

We were so excited when we heard that Cyril Ramaphosa was going to be the next South African president. Look at us now. We are suffering very hard as black South African small business people, foreigners, and whites are the only beneficiaries. Please, you are in your fantasy. Please, can we volunteer in our municipality and organize ourselves as black small businesses that are recognized and get assistance?

So you want to tell me that President Ramaphosa was unaware or not informed when they were doing feasibility studies waiting for our money or just because of public outcry? Cyril Ramaphosa masters the art of throwing his ministers under the bus. He approved the project only to turn around against Nathi Mthethwa, the same thing he did with that Zimbabwe trip.

Do you think that Cyril Ramaphosa didn't know anything regarding the R22 million flag monument or that he is just using Nathi Mthethwa as a scapegoat? Please leave your views in the comment section below.
