It's been a while since the president has given us good news, or any news at all and South Africans are growing anxious. There are a few questions that need to be answered so here are a few things the president should address in his next address to the nation.
Basic Income Grant :
The Basic Income Grant has been a central topic in South Africa for a while. Because of the high unemployment rate, South Africans are desperately looking for a way to get money to survive. The Basic Income Grant may be the permanent solution we need an it will be a good way to phase out Sassa's current SRD grant. While it is currently being discussed, we have no idea whether it's likely to happen or not, so we need answers from our president.
Why is there an American Warship in South Africa :
A few weeks ago an American Warship docked in Cape Town. While it was stated that there visit was for culture and education, allowing war vessels from one of the most powerful armies around the world onto our coast is questionable. If something were to happen, they already have there military right here.
Waste of funds :
The new stadium that was recently opened have been making headlines across South Africa. For the simple fact that it cost over fourteen million rand to build. In light of that South Africans want answers, this money could have been allocated to better things. Yet many believe it was wasted. The president need to answer for the ANC actions and tell South Africa exactly where that money went.
While the date of the next presidential address is currently unknown, we do hope that it's soon so that we as South Africans can get answers for all our questions. What do you think the president will talk about. Tell me in the comments section and follow for more news as it happens.
