Mzwandile Mbeje the chief political editor of SABC was in conversation with Minister Ronald Lamola to discuss among other issues the response to minister Lindiwe Sisulu. He also discussed thorny issues that are affecting the party including its poor elections performance in the last local government elections.
But what end up making the headlines is when he was asked if the rumors that he want to be the Deputy President in 2024 are true. Lamola said that the ANC must infuse the young with the old, look at all opposition parties (EFF - Julius Malema @40 and DA - John Steenhuisen @45) they are being led by young people.

He even went further and say that ANC must show the young people that it's not only about the votes but it also wants them in government leadership positions. He concluded by saying that if he is nominated to take the party reins as the Deputy president indeed he will gladly do so.
Many political analysts are now predicting that Ronald Ramola will be the next South African president after Cyril Ramaphosa.
David Mabuza must be feeling the heat right now.
