"Last time I pronounced myself as proud South African was when Zuma was still president" says Qobo

Discussion question: "The last time I announced myself as proud South African was when Zuma was still president," says Qobo

It was just a few short years ago that South Africans rose up to demand that African National Congress leader and former president Jacob Zuma resign.

By the time he decided to step down, he was unable to deliver his speech at any rally or event, including those held in Parliament, without being disrupted by residents and members of Parliament

Some South Africans are beginning to sing the praises of former President Jacob Zuma again now that it is clear that President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa, once hailed as the savior, is failing to deliver on his promises.

According to Qobolakwe, "our aims and dreams really shined when he stepped down." This was the period when Qobolakwe "pronounce[d] myself as a proud South African."

It appears that many people have fallen head over heels in love with former president Jacob Zuma again.
