SA not obliged to issue citizenship to children born in SA of foreign parents.
"Half a month prior, there was a gathering of NGOs and common freedoms bunches that clubbed together and walked to Home Affairs and requested that each kid brought into the world of unfamiliar guardians who are brought into the world on our dirt should get our introduction to the world endorsement and citizenship.
"I emerged to the media and said we are not obliged to do that and there is no law that compels us. Presently the United Nations yesterday acknowledged it. The United Nations said no there is no commitment on any country to give you citizenship since you were brought into the world there." Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, Minister of Home Affairs.
