No One Thought Ramaphosa Would Say These Things To People| See What He Told Them During The Campaign

It was campaign day for the South African President. On Friday, an ANC campaign gathering in Ga-Rankuwa, Tshwane, devolved into chaos as enraged citizens demanded that their issues be handled.  “You, place your placards on the ground I've seen them," Cyril Ramaphosa, the party's president, said as he motioned to a group of residents waving banners. Ramaphosa arrived at a small sports complex about midday, shortly after finishing a door-to-door campaign in an informal settlement.

When he arrived, some locals applauded, while others expressed their dissatisfaction with the way the candidate councilors' procedure had been handled. At the mini-rally, Ramaphosa greeted the gathering and began his campaign speech. However, he was quickly silenced by shouting at neighbors who yelled obscenities at the local councilor. With a gentle smile displayed on his face, Ramphosa told the crowd who were making noise. “Keep quiet you are drunk. When it is this hot and you drink alcohol, it is fermenting inside you and drives you crazy” he joked around with the residents.

The problem is they have brought the president, and we were expecting the president to respond to our concerns, Lebohang Tifo, a local ANC member told news reporters. He claimed that the people were fed up with the killings of their colleagues in Ward 32. He said that one ANC member was shot 22 times in his home and that Godfrey Gauwe was also slain. Sello Mello voiced his displeasure with the amount of corruption in the area. The crowd was ultimately calmed, and Ramaphosa began his campaign speech.

I understand the concerns of the resident, there are many places where the ANC goes about making promises before elections only to obtain people's votes, after that is done, they are nowhere to be seen. This has occurred several times in numerous places. Do you believe the ANC will win elections in the majority of the provinces, or do you believe another party will come in and steal their thunder?
