President Cyril Ramaphosa took to Twitter to say that South Africa is about the 1st Women’s Economic Assembly as something that south Africans should celebrate. He said that will bring the country closer to meeting its constitutional aspiration of equality and will accelerate the transformation of the countries economy.
In his words, he said, “The 1st Women’s Economic Assembly is a milestone to be celebrated by us all. It brings us closer to meeting our Constitutional aspiration of equality and will be a vital tool through which we can accelerate the transformation of our economy to benefit all.”
This organisation was set up to facilitate the participation of women-owned businesses in core areas of the economy of South Africa.
A Twitter user who reacted to his tweet this morning said that the president has been on this for nearly three decades and has done nothing about it.
In his tweet, he wrote, “You've been at this for nearly 3 decades, and what have you done? nothing, niks, fokol, aiziko ... just a bunch of "I am sorry", "I did not know" rich people getting richer by swindling your supporters's hard-earned money... wow! ... Pathetic!! 🤬”
