Economic assessment shouldn't just be looked at from a macro level but also at micro level, at municipal level. Should we have Local Domestic Product to measure performance of local economies? Economic development at local level will solve many ills we are faced with, we don't have to travel to the so called places of opportunities. Our locality should be riddled with opportunities. Migration is a problem for service delivery planning, areas become densely populated and not easy to manage.
LED has been dormant in our municipalities. It is about time it is taken seriously!
