The Deputy President of the Economic Freedom Fighters, Floyd Shivambu, is spitting fire there by Twitter. Shivambu is furious following the official launch of Lesseyton Sports Field in an ANC Municipality in the Eastern Cape. On Monday, the Enoch Mgijima Municipality proudly announced the launch of what they call a stadium. It is the cost of the shabby 'stadium' that has angered Shivambu together with many other South Africans. The sports Field costs a whooping R15 MILLION. It is shocking that so much money was paid to build that shabby thing and ANC officials are proud of it. "The people of South Africa must vote these people out of power because they have no shame. None whatsoever! R15m for this?" Shivambu said.
The stadium looks like scaffolding yet officials dressed in ANC regalia are celebrating its launch. This is so embarrassing and very clear that tax payers' money was wasted. ANC no longer has fear, they have grown numb to reality, to say they don't have shame would be a grave understatement. What a poor leadership and embarrassing momen. It is so pathetic that the ANC want to restore their hope by calling this a stadium.
Here's how shocked South Africans reacted to the stadium:
@jpDavis 15mill? and our local public primary school has better grandstands and fields then that… such corruption will be the end of SA or blatant now with no remorse in sight! #corruption #lootingmustfall
@BrandonKaule And they still have the guts to open it officially. I am worried about that Dubai thing, these guys they just add zeros on the invoice. They don't miss an opportunity to loot.
@JustConsern Wow!!! We did this ourselves with our former teams players with no cost this madness by ANC.
The governing party is really skating on thin ice and this kind of behavior is just adding salt to a wounded South Africa.
